Queensland Operations Demand Reliable Comms
Civil project on the Sunshine Coast, mining operation in central Queensland, large-scale event through Brisbane. The constant across all of them is that comms have to hold up. Consumer-grade hardware and patchy coverage cost real money on commercial sites, and most operations managers we talk to have already learned that the hard way before they call us.
Digicom Wireless supports some of Queensland's most demanding operations, including Coca-Cola QLD and Golden Cockerel. Both are fleets where an hour of comms going down costs real money, which is why they trust us to spec, supply and maintain their two-way radio systems. You're not dealing with a call centre or an interstate reseller who's never set foot on a QLD worksite. Our team understands wide-open terrain, high-noise environments and multi-crew operations across the state.
QLD-Based Rep, On-Site When It Matters
Our Queensland rep will walk the site, sort the coverage and recommend a setup that fits the job. Not a spec sheet read out down a phone line.
Programmed Before They Ship
Channels, talk groups, lone worker, emergency calling. We set all of it up before the radios leave the warehouse so your crew isn't fighting menus on day one.
Hire Before You Buy
Honestly the smartest move for any first-time DMR migration. Get your team on the hardware for a month on a real site, then decide. Hire spend credits toward the purchase.
Coverage Across the Sunshine State
From Brisbane CBD construction sites and Gold Coast events to remote mining operations in central and north Queensland. We have the stock, the accreditations, and the experience to back it up.

Book a Queensland Site Visit for Your Radio Setup
Not every site can be quoted properly from a product list. Large buildings, noisy environments, regional worksites, high-rise projects and spread-out teams all affect which two-way radio system will work best. Digicom Wireless has two Queensland-based representatives available for site visits, helping businesses choose the right mix of radios, repeaters, hire equipment, WAVE PTX or in-building coverage support.
Two QLD-Based Representatives
Speak with a local Queensland rep who can understand your site, project requirements and communication issues before recommending equipment.
Coverage-Led Recommendations
We consider distance, building structure, terrain, interference, team movement and whether a repeater or WAVE PTX solution may be better than handheld radios alone.

What Sets Us Apart from Other QLD Suppliers
Queensland has no shortage of companies that will sell or hire you a radio. What's harder to find is a supplier with genuine industry credentials, commercial-grade stock, and the technical depth to back it up when things need to work on a critical site.
Motorola Solutions Platinum Channel Partner
One of a select group of Platinum partners across Australia. This means access to the latest Motorola hardware, pricing advantages, and direct technical support that non-partner resellers simply don't have.
ACMA-Accredited Technicians On Staff
Our team holds ACMA accreditation. When your radios need reprogramming, repairing, or licence-class spectrum work, it's done properly and compliantly. Not outsourced to a third party.
Real QLD Sales Presence
We have sales representatives based in Queensland. Not an interstate call centre taking orders. Your rep understands the local market, the terrain, and what actually works on Queensland worksites.
Hytera and Multi-Brand Capability
We're not locked into a single brand. Whether you're running Hytera, Motorola, Kenwood or Icom across your fleet, we can supply, program and service the hardware. Mixed fleets are no problem.
Hire-to-Buy Flexibility
Hire credits apply toward future purchases. If you're evaluating new hardware for a long-term deployment, you're not paying twice. Your hire spend works toward the buy.
Commercial-Only Focus
Our focus is on B2B communication solutions for commercial and industrial teams. We understand the requirements, compliance and service levels needed for workplaces, projects, fleets and critical site operations.

Common Questions About QLD Radio Supply
Answers to the most common questions from Queensland businesses looking to buy, hire or service two-way radios. Can't find what you're looking for? Our QLD team is happy to help.
Do you have a Queensland-based sales representative?
Yes. Digicom has dedicated sales representation in Queensland. Our QLD rep can meet on site across Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast and regional centres, assess your coverage requirements and recommend the right system for your environment.
What two-way radio brands do you supply in Queensland?
We supply and service Hytera, Motorola, Kenwood, Icom, Vertex and Sonim commercial radio hardware. As a Motorola Solutions Platinum Channel Partner and authorised Hytera dealer, we carry genuine stock with full manufacturer warranty and accessories support across all our Queensland operations.
Can I hire two-way radios for a short-term project or event in QLD?
Yes. Hire is available from a single day through to long-term project rental. All hire units are pre-programmed to your channel requirements and tested before dispatch. We can freight to your QLD site or arrange collection if you're in a covered area, with fast turnaround for urgent event and project requirements.
How quickly can radios be delivered to Queensland?
Most QLD orders are dispatched within one to two business days of confirmation. Brisbane, Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast deliveries are typically fastest. Regional and remote QLD sites (Cairns, Townsville, Mackay, Rockhampton, central QLD mining operations) may take an additional day depending on freight. For urgent requirements, faster options are available — speak with our team.
Do I need an ACMA licence to use two-way radios in Queensland?
It depends on the type of radio. UHF CB radios operate on 80 shared channels and don't require an individual licence. Licensed business radios operate on dedicated business frequencies under an ACMA apparatus licence, which gives you exclusive channel use and better interference protection. As an ACMA-accredited supplier, we arrange licensing on your behalf when you buy or hire licensed equipment.
Can your radios work alongside our existing fleet?
Yes. Most of our supplied radios, including the Hytera BD612 and BP512, support both analogue and digital DMR modes. This means they can communicate with legacy analogue radios on your site while you progressively migrate to digital. This is one of the most common requirements we handle for QLD operations managers transitioning their fleet.
Do you offer repair and servicing for radios in QLD?
Yes. Our ACMA-accredited technicians carry out repairs, battery replacements, firmware updates and reprogramming on Hytera, Motorola and other major brand hardware. Units can be shipped to our service facility and returned promptly, or our QLD rep can coordinate collection and return for larger fleets and on-site servicing where possible.
Do you supply intrinsically safe radios for QLD mining and oil & gas?
Yes. We supply intrinsically safe (IS) two-way radios certified to IECEx, ATEX and UL TIA-4950 standards for Queensland mining, oil and gas, refinery and petrochemical operations. Our range includes Motorola, Hytera and Entel intrinsically safe models for use in Zone 0, 1, 2, 20, 21 and 22 hazardous areas, along with matching certified accessories.
How does the hire-to-buy option work?
Hire-to-buy lets QLD customers trial radios on a project before committing to a full purchase. Hire costs can be credited toward a future outright purchase of the same equipment, so you're not paying twice. This is ideal for evaluating new hardware on a real worksite before scaling to a full fleet deployment.
